NASW-MD Leadership Opportunities


This is a great opportunity for you to gain invaluable experience as you learn about association management, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the  profession! Assuming a leadership role within the Chapter puts you on the cutting edge of the profession.   The NASW Board of Directors is faced with making critical decisions regarding the future of social work in Maryland.  You'll meet other talented, ambitious social workers and have the opportunity to represent your colleagues.  This will be a rewarding step to take professionally, if you enjoy taking on responsibility and getting involved.

President-Elect (2019-2020)

Vice President  (2019-2021)

Branch Representative Positions
(2 year term)
Southern MD  Branch Representative -1 person- (2019-2021) 

Western Maryland Branch Representative - 1 person -(2019-2021)

Suburban Branch Representative - 1 person- (2019-2021)

Eastern Shore Branch Representative -1 person (2019-2021)  

Metro Baltimore Branch Representative  - 1 person -(2019-2021)

Student Members of the Board of Directors: 
(1 year term)

Graduate Student Representative  (2019-2020)

Undergraduate Student Representative  (2019-2020)

Chapter Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification
(2 year term) 
We need five new members of this committee- one from each branch. 
This committee will meet as needed to nominate people for office and to select the Awardees for the Annual Conference. 



Finally, we are looking for members of PACE (Political Action for Candidate Election) from each of our five branches.
